Summer is here! We’ve been through a lot. The COVID, isolation, social distancing, all of which has hopefully has made us better people. It was a rough Spring, and through it all many of us have continued to grow from within, to harvest the lessons, to appreciate what we have. There are so many good people in the world, and I believe this past Spring has proved it to be true. Optimistically, we are back on track, recovering from the ripple affect of what has occurred with our economy.
Astrologically as the energies of the planets harmoniously blend, bringing forth frolic and fun, we are once again reminded that summer is finally here. We are now experiencing a retrograde which occurs when the planet moves closer to the Earth thus changing the vibration of the planets influence. An example is seen below, as Mercury, the planet of reason has been in retrograde since June 2020. We celebrate Independence Day July 4th, the greatest country in the world will have another birthday.
MERCURY, THE PLANET OF CHAT, RETROGRADE IN CANCER- June 18, 2020 until July 12, 2020
Mercury the planet of communication in a retrograde is creating havoc through all forms of communication whether it is texting, talking or signing contracts of any kind. In simple terms, be aware of not only what you say, but how it is being delivered. When Mercury is in retrograde we are provided with a time to catch up to ourselves, to reflect, to rethink and possibly shed light on matters from the past that needs our attention. It’s a period of complete contemplation. Much however depends on where it is taking place in your own individual birth chart. Its retrograde in the Moon ruled sign of Cancer triggers emotions relating to family as well as security issues. “Mental Emotions” run high, over reactions to petty annoyances may occur. Be aware.

Specifically speaking as it creates an opposition to transiting Pluto, the planet of transformation, it may help to break down and rebuild.

TAURUS – ( April 20- May 20) As resistant as you are to change this months planetary influences trigger a strong compulsion to do something a little out of the ordinary. Specifically in relationship to changes that could relate to your work/as well if your home. With the new moon in the sign of Leo on the 20, emphasis is placed on family and friends. Though while Mercury is in retrograde, your tolerance may be limited. So, know thyself, and know your limitations so that others are not caught up in the crossfire. .
GEMINI – ( May 21- June 20) While demands from others can and will occupy plenty of your time, you may find yourself on a path of self discovery. This should be a powerful period for you as much of what you need to do is laid out for you. Your gift with words and humor to be specific. However as Mercury retrogrades your area of communication, your delivery to others maybe working against you. So say what you mean, and mean what you say, while keeping it in check.
CANCER -( June 21 – July 20) Time to really buckle down and get your monies in order as the unpredictable influence of Mercury in retrograde may create unnecessary turmoil. You have the control. Keeping with your own guidelines, you have leverage. It’s up to you to delegate while, staying focused. Priorities are the key.
LEO -( July 22 – Aug 22) A very interesting month for you as the opposition of the planets bring forth a sense of lightness, though with Mercury retrograding your own sign, you may feel a bit more vulnerable, and less in control. However at this stage in the game, you’re at a place where you need to let go of obstacles that have hindered you in the past. Take this time to clear a path, implement after July 12, 2020.
VIRGO – ( Aug 23- Sept 22) you may see yourself a bit overwhelmed by work and home as the planets at odds to your natal Sun create a feeling of frenzy. Know that much can be said about pacing oneself. Also, this is your week to purge through mental and emotional clutter as Mercury retrogrades your area of thought. This can be a cleansing as well as healing period.
LIBRA – ( Sept 23- Oct 22) Relationships, both business and personal related are strong factors this month as you get your priorities in check. Friendships may be going through a bit of a hurdle, but only temporarily with Mercury in retrograde.. The most important thing to remember is that life is always in a constant motion. Stay focused and centered.
SCORPIO – ( Oct 23- Nov 21) Tension from work as well as personal obligations are magnified this month as you see yourself being pulled between work and home. This can be a productive month for you though the feeling of not doing enough may be causing you to spin out. Allow yourself the satisfaction of taking a personal inventory. Health looks positive, money is gainful.

Therefore, one step at a time. Allow yourself to assess every given situation without taking too much on. Sometimes having to take a step back can only reassure better results.
PISCES – ( Feb 19 – March 19 )- letting go of negative and past issues is well indicated here, however it’s up to you to create a better platform for yourself. In doing so you allow yourself to move forward. Mercury in retrograde in your area of health and responsibilities can trigger issues. Mind over matter.
