SALSA WITH LEMON!
There a many ways to make salsa with lemon. Certainly the ingredients are the same, with varying species and spices, but the base of salsa with lemon will never vary.
Fresh ingredients will make this dish a crisp summer delight, as a relish, garnish, burrito stuffing or a dip!
FRESH SALSA WITH LEMON! INGREDIENTS
Tomatoes
Onions
Green peppers/Red peppers
Cilantro
Minced jalapeno (spicy and hot!)
Squeeze of lemon
Often there is no time to think, plan, market and then make the recipes that we like the most, so conveniently we have canned goods. There is nothing wrong with canned goods, simply be certain to make them the healthiest of choices.
The wonderful aspect of canned goods, is that we have them on hand for those moments of cravings and drop-in company.
CANNED and FROZEN INGREDIENTS
Petite diced tomatoes
Diced tomatoes with jalapeno
Onions/Peppers mix (fresh or frozen)
Cilantro (dry)
Squeeze of lemon
Salsa with lemon is based upon the way it looks, the ratio of the ingredients and the crispness of the onion. A rule of thumb is 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Meaning 1 cup tomatoes, 2 cups diced tomatoes with jalapeno, 3 tablespoons frozen onions/peppers mix, 4 sprigs cilantro, and your 5 fingers around half of a lemon and then, squeeze!
Toss all of the ingredients and then serve with corn or flour tortilla anything!
